Problem: Acrobat crashes a few seconds after opening a PDF.
Cause: the acrobat updater…
Solution:
Go to acrobat plug-in directory (c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 8.0\acrobat\plug_ins) and rename updater.api to something else.
